The EXPO 2020 world exhibition is currently taking place in Dubai. It has been postponed by one year due to a pandemic.
It is a great honor for our company that our Tecomat Foxtrot control system is part of several unique technologies that are presented at this exhibition. One of them is located in the Czech Pavilion in the "Sustainability" zone and the other two in the Slovak pavilion in the "Mobility" zone.
According to the Governor of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, a vision of progress and development based on a shared intention and determination is the key in today's strongly interconnected world, that is why the topic for the EXPO 2020 in Dubai is "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”, with the subtopics of "Sustainability, Mobility and Opportunity”.
The S.A.W.E.R.
The S.A.W.E.R. (Solar Air Water Earth Resource) system is located in the Czech Pavilion in the "Sustainability" zone and it is the technological and exposition core of the pavilion. This system produces water from the air using solar energy and cultivating the desert using subsurface cultures.
The University Centre for Energy Efficient Buildings (UCEEB) and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague are working on the development of the technology S.A.W.E.R. in cooperation with the Botanical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.
The team of scientists from UCEEB entrusted the control of the entire process in the S.A.W.E.R., including its power supply from solar panels and batteries, to our Tecomat Foxtrot control system. Foxtrot also allows scientists to remotely manage, monitor and service the entire system online. In the development of S.A.W.E.R.

AgeVolt - innovative charging system for electric vehicles
Tecomat Foxtrot system is also part of the unique AgeVolt charging system for electric vehicles. Foxtrot hardware platform has enabled AgeVolt to develop a comprehensive solution that continuously evaluates current power consumption in the case of one or more chargers in the system. The keypad, display and controlled color signaling, which are part of Foxtrot, enable communication with the user, and thanks to secure communication channels, remote management of the charger via the Internet is also possible.
AgeVolt offers dynamic energy management system and a proprietary software that optimises charging based on the actual available capacity of the building, without overloading the grid and eliminating the need to have extra connections. AgeVolt´s ambition is to streamline, simplify and improve transition from internal combustion engines to electric.
AgeVolt Pillar EDGE charger with the city’s motif is shown at the Slovak Pavilion in the heart of the Mobility zone. More information about the AgeVolt charging system can be found here.
Ecocapsule®
At the Slovak Pavilion you can also find the smallest solar house in the world, Ecocapsule®. It is smart, self-sustainable micro-unit, which utilizes solar and wind energy. It allows you to stay in remote places out of reach of infrastructure, with the luxury of a hotel room. Powered by a dual system of energy production, which in connection with high capacity batteries ensures energetic self sufficiency even in the case of a temporary lack of sources. The control of the technologies inside this unique device was also entrusted to Tecomat Foxtrot system. More information about this self-sustainable microhome you can find here.
The EXPO 2020 in Dubai will take place from 1st of October 2021 until the 31st of March 2022.
